Dwarf Blue Arctic Willow, Salix purpurea 'Nana', is a versatile and adaptable shrub with olive blue foliage that adds beauty and color wherever it is used. This hardy species can adapt to a wide arrange of soil conditions including wet ones along stream banks or fountain beds. With full to part sun Dwarf Blue Arctic Willow, Salix purpurea will grow into a loosely rounded shrub with whispery foliage that bristles in the wind. If a more formal look is desired, simply prune it back for a more compact appearance or topiary! Perfect for that tuscan inspired garden!

FANTASTIC packaging!

I ordered 9 of the dwarf willows to edge a large flower bed. When the box arrived, I wondered how all of them could fit in such a small box and I was prepared to be majorly disappointed. As we opened the box and started to remove the bushes, I was completely surprised at the really superb way they were packed. There was no wasted space, but the feathery branches were very well protected with cardboard bracing and the pots were wrapped so well with not a drop of dirt dislodged! Obviously, a master of package design and protection was involved in the Greenhouse process and I'm so glad. We planted all of them the next day and they are thriving, and though they do get quite a bit of wind in our location, they seem to like where they are planted and are growing well. I'm looking forward to seeing them in full grown status and providing a beautiful background for all of our irises and daylilies. Thank you!

Wonderful group df plants

I ordered 10 blue arctic willow shrubs and 6 Spanish Lavender. They are the healthiest plants I have ever seen. The packing of the plants was great and the lavender still has all the blooms on. I will definitely shop at the Greenhouse again.
