I ordered 5 plants. One showed up more suspect than the others, so The Greenhouse promptly replaced it with no fuss when I let them know the one had sadly passed away. But the others flowered happily!
I learned that they don't want as much sun as my western-facing spot in Lower Michigan was providing, but they're OK on the Eastern exposure with shade in the afternoon. Maybe only sensitive to the fuller sun while they're young?
Looking forward to replanting these so they can keep growing!
I’m an enthusiastic gardener. Not a professional but I had beautiful 10 year old Rosemary bushes that were slaughtered by our terrible January freeze. I live in Massachusetts and am an optimist. I researched options and learned about Arp Rosemary. Arp is an unusually cold hardy varietal. I was replacing big beautiful plants and I wanted the largest I could purchase. I ordered 2 in May from a nursery (NOT the greenhouse) that promised big, but never shipped, refunded my payment, or replied to queries. I called the Greenhouse in a grumpy mood. They picked up the phone, assured my that they had great plants that they could ship within a day. Grants Pass, Oregon to Massachusetts seemed like a long stressful trip for plants. But kind handling of a grumpy gardener is worth a lot. In less than a week a large tube shaped box arrived. My rosemary bushes were packed “head to head” and they looked stunningly fresh and unstressed. The packing system was ingenious. The plant quality was top notch. My rosemary planrts are in the ground and thriving. Tonight I pinched the tops and used the herb on roasted vegetables. I am thrilled!
Bush was smaller than expected. Will not know how it survives the NM winter until spring
Just perfect!
It looks like it will flower this year.
Mucho bueno!
Very impressive
The plants and the service I received from The Greenhouse was outstanding!!
The Greenhouse was a very welcome change after having a TERRIBLE experience of receiving dead plants and refusal to replace or reimburse them by the Wilson Bros Gardens. The seven 1-gallon pot Arp Rosemary plants I received from The Greenhouse last week all arrived healthy and are already showing new growth and greening as they thrive in our commercial sized planters in full sun. The Greenhouse staff was also responsive to my questions and they provided good helpful tips and instructions with the plants.
The plant had aphids, and what appeared to be a psyllid
Hello Michael,
I just sent you an email. :) Please reach out anytime there is a concern or question to Hello@thegreenhousepnw.com
I have always had Rosemary Arp which in my zone stays over the winter. Here in Oklahoma we had a terrible storm with plunging temps and I lost it. Was unable to find it locally so appreciate that the Greenhouse had it and it is a very nice specimen. Larger than I thought it would be...
