DESCRIPTION
Dwarf Mondo Grass, Ophiopogon japonicas 'Nana', is sometimes used as an alternative to turf when only very light foot traffic is expected. The blades are much thicker and glosser than turf grass and form in small tufts making it a lot more showy. With correct spacing, it makes delightful geometric patterns that go with a more contemporary or city look. When planted in mass, it will make a fascinating groundcover that will need much less water and maintenance than average turf. It looks tremendous when planted between stepping stones and in rock gardens. Dwarf Mondo Grass 'Nana' is a tough little plant that can even look great in full shade and be grown on the seacoast without issue.
