Hardy Pampas Grass (Erianthus ravennae) is a gigantic ornamental grass that will take pride of place in your summer garden. Even when it's not in bloom, the regal foliage that fountains out from the crowns makes a dramatic statement. The slivery plumes look much like those of ordinary Pampas Grass, but they are not the only bit of excitement this plant has to offer. In fall, the leaves turn orange and bronze with occasional brown leaves for contrast. It's a truly spectacular show. Leave the dormant tuft in place as a natural sculpture over winter.
