When my Dianthus plants first arrived, I realized they had undergone a traumatic shipment. Two plants were partially out of their containers, and the third one had been squashed. I got them out of the shipping container, watered them well, and placed them on my covered patio. The next morning, I watered them again and planted them about an hour later taking care to spread roots out and cover them with a mixture of super soil/soil from the planting area. They were watered again and mulched. Over the next couple of weeks, the foliage died back, and I was afraid I would lose them entirely. The only thing that gave me hope was each plant continued to show some green at their base. I’ve watched them for almost four weeks now, and each plant is covered in new growth!! I believe if they had not been sturdy plants to start with this would never have happened. I will continue to use the Greenhouse as I am quite happy with their products and their service.
