DESCRIPTION

Giant Hyssop 'Black Adder' adding color and texture to your garden all summer long with tall spikes of purple fragrant flowers that hummingbirds & pollinators will love! These purple flowers sit atop darker green wonderful smelling foliage that have the scent of anise when rubbed between your fingers. Perfect addition to herb, butterfly, wildflower gardens that will give you color when most things are done blooming

Grows in upright clumps that reach 2-3 ft tall and around 2 ft wide.

Has a long bloom time from summer into fall.

Once roots are established this perennial is drought tolerant and low maintenance. Grow in full sun with well draining soil.

Bees (and I) love it

I ordered total 4 different types of plants including Hyssop. While they travelled in near 90 degree temp, they were such healthy bunch that in a matter of few days, they started to shoot up new leaves. When I planted in the flowerbed I could see every one of them having very healthy roots. The packaging was meticulous and you feel the they were raised and packed with care and love. The hyssop is attracting bees non stop all day and I love seeing them working away putting their little heads in each flower. I am going to order more from them!

They are just coming out of dormancy and pushing through spring growth right now so they do look small when they first start in the spring, each of our hyssops we grew last year and they flushed out over a foot of tall aromatic growth which you'll be getting soon as they keep growing this season. Unfortunately for spring planting perennials they wont come their full size that they flaunt in the summer until its summer. We do tag them with dormant plant information so this isn't a shock but that can be missed sometimes in the excitement of plant shopping. Waiting for Spring

My 3 Giant Hyssop Black Adders arrived nicely packed and in good shape. Planted them, and watered, as instructed. They appear green and healthy! Just waiting for some warm weather to watch them flourish!
