Massachusetts Kinnikinnick, Arctostaphylos una-ursi 'Massachusetts', is a beautiful and functional groundcover with plenty to offer the landscape. This native evergreen will bloom pendulous flowers during summer and can attract hummingbirds. Autumn brings scarlet berries within changing multi-toned foliage of red, bronze and gold. Hardy and handsome, Massachusetts Kinnikinnick can be used on hillsides and rock gardens for erosion control. It can be planted in full to partly sunny areas and makes a lovely border for woodland garden or naturalized setting.

We are sticklers about packaging and shipping your order in a way that guarantees healthy plants upon arrival. If plants are damaged on arrival, just let us know and we'll send you new ones or offer a full refund.
All of our plants are container grown and shipped with the soil and roots fully intact. We DO NOT ship your plants bare-root. Being shipped as a containered plant greatly reduces the risk of the plant not surviving the transit to your home.

Your order will be shipped FedEx Home Delivery. Once shipped, your order should arrive in 2-5 business days.
How much does shipping cost?
All orders $120 or more ship free. Orders under $120 ship for a flat rate of $14.95.
Do you guarantee your plants?
Yes. If, in the rare case your plants are damaged upon arrival, just contact us within 7 days and a full refund or exchange will be issued for those plants.
Will this plant grow where I live?
The hardiness zones that each plant will grow in are listed in the plant details section. Please make sure that the plants are rated for the zone you live in. If you don't know what zone you are in, please check the zone map and zip code lookup tool above to find out.
If I order now, can I delay shipping for sometime in the future?
Sure. After placing your order, just send us an email with your order number and the date you would like your order delivered.
We promise to only send you healthy, well rooted plants. If, in the rare case your plants are damaged upon arrival, or you are not completely satisfied, contact us at hello@thegreenhousepnw.com within 30 days of receiving your order, and we’ll take care of it.
If your plant(s) were damaged on arrival, we will send out replacements to you immediately at no extra charge to you.
If that plant is no longer in stock, or you prefer to not receive a replacement, we will issue full refund for any damaged plants.
In some cases, we may simply request a photo of the damaged plant to verify condition of plant before we process replacement or refund.

My plant arrived with many shriveled dry leaves and has only gotten worse. I planted it per instructions but had to prune the entire plant down to 4 inches as most of the branches are dead. How do I go about getting a refund?

I love my Massachusetts Kinnikinnick! It arrived in excellent condition, including moisture. I also loved the coaching I received before and upon arrival for how to care for my cute little ground cover shrub. Although I know how to plant and care for shrubs, I liked the extra mile you went to remind and encourage me. My little shrub has made it through several days of intense heat and then some intense rain. We're happy so far!

All of the plants that I ordered came in wonderful condition along with ‘how to’ instructions for getting the plants acclimated before planting. These instructions were especially helpful bc I received my plants way too early to plant in Ohio. I kept them inside the house (which I didn’t even know was possible until I saw the ‘how to’ from this company) until our weather was more suitable for planting, which was about a month later, & the plants looked great the entire time & still do now that they’re in the ground! I will absolutely order from this company again! Thank you!
