Leather Leaf Sedge Grass, Carex Buchananii, unlike most ornamental grasses can handle wet soil and is an easy choice for those with water gardens, fountain runoff and stream bank plantings. Its rich bronze foliage looks exceptionally luxuriant when lit up by a setting sun, so plant where it will get western exposure if you can. Bronze Sedge Grass is a hardy and showy little plant that will do well in moderate soil conditions too. Consider it for borders, containers, rock gardens and transitional areas in woodland gardens.
