DESCRIPTION

Rupturewort, Herniaria glabra, is a no-nonsense, spreading groundcover. Its moderate growth rate keeps it easily contained between flagstones, when used as edging, and in containers. The pretty little leaves are striking enough to create a focal point in rock gardens and small beds. Rupturewort, Herniaria glabra is amazingly resilient and sturdy. It makes a dynamic lawn substitute in areas that get light to moderate foot traffic. The bronze winter color is just another added benefit of planting this sweet but tough little evergreen.

I have a brown thumb, so the fact that these have been in the ground for a bit and still looking good is something. The packing/shipping probably has something to do with that. I ordered several of these, and the time they spent in a box was less than most other nurseries I've ordered from. The dirt the plants were in was still plenty damp when they arrived, and they were tightly packed so that no damage occurred to them in transit.
