DESCRIPTION

Miscanthus 'Silberfeder' (Silver Feather Grass) is a large ornamental grass with green variegated foliage that sends up tall feathery plumes emerging in a pinkish hue fading to silver in fall. Foliage grows in a large arching mound so make sure you have plenty of room for it to grow. Let silver foliage bring winter interest until you need to prune, then cut all the way to the ground. In harsh winter climates it's best to do a thick layer of mulch around the crown of your ornamental grasses to add extra protection from the cold.
